Kazan, Moscow and Petersburg Tour Program 

Day 1

After having breakfast at at hotel, we go to Tsarskoye Selo with our bus accompanied by the guide.

The Tsarskoye Selo palace and park ensemble is a superb monument of world-ranking architecture and garden-and-park design dating from the eighteenth to early twentieth centuries. The residence now forms part of the town of Pushkin. Here you can see the beautiful  Catherine Palace – a splendid example of the Russian Baroque and the Alexander Palace.

Day 2

Visiting Peterhof Palace

Peterhof Palace, built by Emperor Peter I of the beginning of the XVIII century near the city of Saint Petersburg named as the new "Northern capital" of Russia and has the title of the most magnificent  summer palace of the emperor.

The official opening date is 1723. Peterhof Palace, which is also known as the Versailles of Russia, is the symbol of the victory of Russia in the Great Northern War and is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Day 3

Visiting the State Hermitage Museum

The State Hermitage Museum is one of the largest artistic and cultural and historical Complex, which is situated in the historical centre of Saint Petersburg. The Hermitage Museum has the world's largest collection of paintings. The museum is also included in the Guinness book of records, as it has the biggest collection of paintings.

Since it is the last day in St. Petersburg, after our visit to the Hermitage Museum, we go on a shopping tour in Petersburg. Our visitors can shop in the famous Shopping and Entertainment Centre «Galeria».

Day 4

Breakfast at the Hotel.

Travelling from St. Petersburg‎ to Moscow on a high-speed train. Arrival in Moscow at 12:30.

Moscow city tour. Visiting The Red Square

Red Square is the must-see sight of Moscow.  It is the largest and most famous square in Russia, in 1990 it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Standing in Red Square, you can see the most significant buildings in the capital: the Kremlin, GUM department store, the State History Museum, Lenin's Mausoleum and, of course, the beautiful St Basil’s Cathedral. Not many people realize that Red Square's name has nothing to do with Communism or Soviet Russia. The old Russian word for ‘beautiful’ and ‘red’ was the same; Red Square means “Beautiful Square".

Day 5

We continue to explore Moscow. We will see Moscow's unique and beautiful metro stations, have a walking tour along the Arbat street  and do some shopping.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel.  Check out of a hotel. Transfer  to Domodedovo airport. Arrival in Kazan.

Kazan city tour

Kazan is known as Russia's third capital with 1000-year history and unique tatar culture.

Enjoy the original beauty of the capital of Tatarstan Republic, see the bright colors of its streets and squares, find out where the innumerable treasures of the Kazan khans are stored and where,  without any fire, boiled water.

The snow-white Kremlin reflects the atmosphere of peace and coexistence of cultures and religions in Tatarstan.  It is here, where the magnificent Kul Sharif Mosque and the majestic Annunciation Cathedral are located mere metres away from each other. In 2000, this architectural and historical site was added to the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage sites of UNESCO

Dinner at Tugan Avylym Restaurant Village  in the center of the city + Tatar Folk Show

The program consists of a colorful national show and traditional Tatar dinner. Theatrical performance takes us into ancient Tatar legends, where the characters tell the history of Kazan through dances, songs and interactive entertainment with involvement of guests.  After the show finishes, a photo session is organized with the artists in the interiors of the center.

 

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Tour to the ancient city of Bolgar

Visit The Great Bolgar, get acquainted with the civilization of Volga Bolgars and, of course, enjoy its picturesque ruins and majestic ancient buildings, which attract people from all over the world. Located just 200 kilometers south of Kazan, it’s an official UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place is all that remains of the Golden Horde, the once great and powerful country in Eastern Europe.

Be sure to visit the magnificent White Mosque – a copy of snow-white Grand Mosque of Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi , the Museum of Bolgar Civilization ,the Cathedral Mosque, the Black Chamber, and the East Mausoleum, the 700-year-old burial chamber for Bolgar nobility and Khan’s Tomb.  Also be sure to check out the largest printed Koran in the world, listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Day 8

Tour to the island- town of Sviyazhsk

The island - town of Sviyazhsk  is the first Orthodox city in the Volga Region. Surrounded by Russia’s main river — the Volga, it has always attracted historians and travelers. This unique place has hardly changed over the last century- the spirit of the history and life is felt in every monument, street and back alley.

Sviyazhsk was once an ancient fortress, built in Medieval times during the reign of Ivan the Terrible as a military base of the Russian army during the siege of Kazan. After the capture of Kazan,  Sviyazhsk continues to live and tell us memories of the its best and most serious times.

The tour route includes a unique historical monuments: the snow-white complex of the UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Sviyazhsk Bogoroditse-Uspensky Monastery with its architectural ensemble of 16th century and unique frescos, St Nicholas Church and the Assumption Cathedral, one of the oldest wooden churches of Russia — the Church of the Holy Trinity, The Museum of Sviyazhsk History , Konniy Dvor ("Horse Yard") and Leniviy Torzhok – a place, where you can experience the true atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
